Our Love for the LORD Part I



Jeremiah 2:1-2 The word of the LORD came to me, saying, "Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem, Thus says the LORD, "I remember the devotion of your youth, your love as a bride, how you followed me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.


1. The word of the LORD came to me saying, “Go and __proclaim_____ in the hearing of Jerusalem.


Qara' means to call, call out, cry out, proclaim, utter a loud sound, to read aloud


2. Thus says the LORD, "I _____remember__


Zakhar means of, be mindful of, to think upon_


Psalm 8:4 what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?


3. Never are God’s people absent from His heart and mind. They are __engraved___ on the palm of His hands (Isaiah 49:16) and set as a __seal____upon His heart (Song of Solomon 8:6)


4. Sometimes it may seem as though God has __forgotten__ us when we call out to Him and we do not get an ____immediate_______answer.


1. Genesis 8:1-But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the livestock that were with him in the ark.

2. Genesis 19:29 So it was that, when God destroyed the cities of the valley, God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow when he overthrew the cities in which Lot had lived.

3. Genesis 30:22 Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb.

4. Exodus 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

5. Ezekiel 16:60 “Nevertheless, I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.


God does not forget His people nor does He forget His covenant with them.
